The Ahlibayth

Are mentioned in the Quran and shahi hadith. Ahli Bayth mean people/family of the House and is used to speak to the family of the Prophet in the Qur'an.   In the Quran Surah Al Ahzab 33:33, Allah declares a purification on the family of the House of the Prophet(sws).

Hadith:

  • The Prophet (sws) is said to have recited Quran verse 33:33 in frount of Ali (a.s.) and Fatimah (a.s.) house for several mornings.

  • The Christians of Najeran accepted the Prophet invitation and came to Madina with a large group. The Quran verse3:59 was revealed to the Messenger of Allah about Jesus(as) and Adam(as) both only being servants of Allah; not sons. And created by Allah. When they still disagreed Quran sura Al-Imran verse 3:61 calling both the Muslims and Christians to bring their people.

  • The Prophet(as) brought Ali, Fatimah, Hassan and Hussein (a.s.)

Farewell Pilgrimage:

Qur'an verse 5:67 was revealed to the Prophet at Gadir Khum. The caravans were departing from Gadir Khum a place in the desert caravans meet before separating towards their different home destinations.  The Messenger of Allah commanded his companions to call as many as could be reached to return.

  • Ali was nominated by the Prophet as the Mawla (master-close associate who manages, important affairs) of all Muslims.

  • Depending on account the Prophet told the community to hold on to the Qur'an, the Sunnah, The Ahli Bayth

  • In the Hadith of Gahdir Khum: The Prophet declared that the Ahlibayth and the Quran- Sunnah, would never separate until they, the AhliBayth, met him-the Messenger of Allah, at khauthur, the divine fountain-spring in heaven.

  • After the Prophet completed the farewell pilgramage speech, the Quran verse 5:3 was revealed to the Messenger of Allah, It declaired the completion of religion.

  • The Hadith of Ghadir Khum and the version of that say the Sunnah, the Quran, the Ahli Bayth are all agreed to be sound transmission (sahahi) by all schools of fiqh. This is believed one of the most authentic hadiths because of the many people who were there for the Pilgrimage.

Respects:

  • Muslims use Alay His Salaam after the names of the Prophets and pure people in the Quran to give respect. Muslims to give respect to Nabi Muhammad use, sal  lal lahu wa alayhi wa salaam. It is the same as Alay His Salaam but includes salutation on the Prophets family.

  • The Sahabba were known to use Radhiallahu Anhu in respect to each other. And it is very possible, they used Alay His Salaam casually to show respect to the Prophets family. And the Ahli Bayth did similarly.

Lineage: Some say the family of the Prophet include his Wives and others. All lineage descent from the Messenger(sws) of Allah is from Hazrat Bibi Fatimah(as) and Hazrat Ali(as) their immediate children and their lineage descendants.
The Quran declares the AhliBayth purified-- The true meaning is with Allah. What is important is they can inspire Muslims to know people lived who represented the Prophets true sunnah and people could trust their knowledge.

  • In Hadith accepted by Al Shiite and Al Sunnah - The Prophet told Ali he (Ali) was like Aaron(as) and he Muhammad was like Moses(as). Except(but) there would be no Prophethood after him- Prophet Muhamad (sws) the final Prophet of Allah.

  • There are no Prophets after Nabi Muhammad the true only and final, messenger.

  • There is only one Quran and it is the same as was sent to the messenger of Allah.

  • No Man/Wombman after the Prophet hold the status of the Prophet.

All male descendant of the Prophets were martyred at Karbala, except Hazrat Ali Ibn Hussein - Zaynul Abideen(as) the great Grand Son of the Prophet. Severely sick the oppressive army assumed he would die. He survived along with the Wombman family members. The family of the Prophet only followed the Path of Allah. Not evil/injust way of living. They never accepting corruption and sin into their way of living. They defended themselves from oppression and made the Muslims community give attention to the corruption it was choosing to ignore. Most of the Prophets family lived full lives into healthy mature ages. They married at relatively healthy young ages and passed on the knowledge of Islam to the next generation.

Secrateran divisions: Allah in the Quran command not to divide into sects and also warns leaders who mislead their communities. Most sects/school will not say their school has the truth instead the schools are the attempt to properly practice Islam. The Imams of the 4 school of Fiqh Imam Abu Hanifa, Ahmed Ibn Hambal, Imam Shafi, Imam Ibn Muslim are said to have learned from or interacted with, or were the students of those who interacted with and learned from the Imams of the Ahlibayth and there were many other including direct students who founded their own schools.

Modern Scholars of the 4 schools of fiqh have declared that the main schools in belief and practice are of Shiite Islam are acceptable by the Pure standards of faith Muslims are to believe.

There is no separate history of Islam. Both Al Sunnah and Al Shia mostly accept the same history, but differer in their interpritation of events and meanings.
